Cruising Program

The Stuart Corinthian Yacht Club has a well deserved reputation for being an active cruising yacht club. Whether you are a novice boater or an “old salt,” our cruising program fits all sizes. Every month our “fleet” cruises to different ports of call, with a complete itinerary planned by the Fleet Captain or Cruise Leader.

Some of our destinations include Key West, St. Augustine, Miami Beach, Palm Beach, Vero Beach, Captiva and Boca Grande, and the Bahamas. We enjoy dock-and-dining, restaurants, theatre, museums, art shows and shopping. Golf and tennis may also be on the schedule. We also plan small boat cruises to local destinations.

During the summer months we take advantage of the nearby sandbars for day outings which may include a BBQ or clam bake. We also take part in traditional Martin County annual boating events such as the Blessing of the Fleet and the Stuart Holiday Boat Parade.

Cruising doesn’t always mean getting there by boat. One of our best “cruises” is driving to the St. Johns River, staying in old Florida style resorts, and renting pontoon boats to float up and down the river. A bass fishing tournament is usually arranged followed by a fish fry.

Our cruising program offers variety, spice, and an appreciation for our Florida lifestyle.
