The Stuart Corinthian Yacht Club has lots of fishing stories.  Our main goal is to enhance the fishing experience while creating an atmosphere of fun and fellowship. We fish in local charitable tournaments, enjoy casual offshore fishing days and go to the Bahamas regularly.

The Stuart Corinthian Yacht Club is centrally located in the “Sailfish Capital of the World” just off the St. Lucie and Indian Rivers. Members fish together regularly in the estuaries and lagoons that are abundant along the Treasure Coast and the Palm Beaches. Those who prefer the challenge of offshore fishing have excellent deep sea venues available in nearby Atlantic Ocean waters, a quick 15 minutes’ running time from SCYC via the St. Lucie Inlet. This informal fishing program enhances safety and provides the mutual interest and comradeship long associated with the sport.

The Angler’s Program works closely with the River’s Coalition to continue to improve the condition of the St. Lucie River.  The Anglers also support the Martin County Artificial Reef Program. As part of the Artificial Reef Program SCYC dedicated an artificial reef as exhibited in the following video. The first three minutes is a slide show of the barge and boats involved in establishing and dedicating the reef. The following 7 minutes is a video of the reef and its inhabitants: SCYC Artificial Reef.

We remain dedicated to the health of our rivers, estuaries, and lagoons.
